Special Education

This page is meant to allow Drew parents of special education students to have access to the resources in the community and through APS that assist with special education training, advocacy, support groups or general information.

Here you will find information about the Arlington SEPTA chapter (read more about this below) and other groups that assist with special education services and resources. Please check in frequently for upcoming events and the latest information.

Arlington SEPTA

Arlington parents and educators, do you know about Arlington SEPTA? The overarching goal of the Arlington SEPTA is to support, strengthen and promote the welfare of children with special needs and Arlington County’s special education programs.  SEPTA membership is not specific to any one school but serves all schools in Arlington County and its members are encouraged to join and participate in their school-specific PTAs as well.

For more information or to become a member of the Arlington SEPTA, visit the website at: http://www.arlingtonsepta.org/. Meetings are held monthly at the Syphax Building in South Arlington. Additionally, Michelle Best serves as our Arlington SEPTA liaison at Drew. She can be reached by email at mczero@yahoo.com.
